The primary purpose of this position is to manage the overall governance relationships of the four major Credit Bureau vendors (Equifax, Experian, Innovis, and TransUnion) across the enterprise. Ensure compliance and balancing with standard credit bureau reporting. The incumbent manages a team of analysts that respond to all credit bureau disputes. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and the position will perform other duties as assigned.Work with the business lines and the vendors to review new and existing products/ services for leverage opportunities and measure spend across the bank in accordance with our contractual agreements.Work with business lines and Compliance to establish and maintain solid Credit Bureau Usage control and governance framework and policy/ procedures.Support Credit Bureau impacted risk assessments, internal and external regulatory exams. Manage incident protocols in the event a major or minor issue is identified at one of the bureaus (breach, system outage, etc.) that could impact the credit union.Maintain functional control points with our internal partners and ongoing cadence with CRA's and these teams for enterprise tracking and communication.Serve as the central point of contact across the enterprise and with the Credit Bureaus for anything relationship related that needs escalation and remediationInvestigate and ensure data integrity of new customers being added to credit reportingInvestigate and respond to disputes submitted by customers or on behalf of customers by the credit bureausResearch, develop and build process improvements to credit bureau validation routinesInvestigate and respond to CFPB, Attorney General, and other state agencies complaintsLead analytic findings relates to industry trend, benchmarking, and competitive study, formulate recommendations to share with key decision makers. Clearly articulate findings and observations and make recommendations as appropriate.Lead the operational budgeting process and support the operating expense analysis.Develop and lead the validation of the monthly credit reporting file for accuracy and integrityBuild/expand a team of credit bureau professionals Qualifications: Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Minimum Ten (10) years of experience with credit bureau disputes, background and regulation requirements.Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, required.Five plus (5 +) years of Fintech, banking, or financial services experience, preferred.Detail-oriented, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to changeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to self-motivate with little oversightAbility to work cross-functionally with other teamsBe hands on with internal and external teamsSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position will supervise employees.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*TravelAbility to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.Special Message Regarding COVID 19PenFed is continuing to hire and train exceptional individuals to help us serve our 2 million members both here and around the world.
