Chenega Professional & Technical Services, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services' company, is seeking an IT Project Manager to support the US Army Center of Military History (CMH) in the areas of Information Technology (IT) and Knowledge Management (KM). The IT Project Manager, under general supervision by the program manager, is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single POC for those projects. Responsibilities What you'll be doing: Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Supports the following projects/initiatives: Army Historical Resources Online (AHRO) Unclassified; Development of an unclassified historical data repository. This repository shall be an open-source, Apache Lucene/Solaris software search application with a Government furnished user interface product. Army Historical Resources Online (AHRO) Classified; Maintenance and enhancement of the developed Classified War Repository. This is an open-source, industry standard software search application with a Government-furnished user interface product. Army.Mil (CMH Public Facing Website) and Social Media Platforms; Document, implement, maintain, and integrate the Government selected/provided test information or content to History.Army.Mil (CMH Public Facing Website) and Social Media Platforms Army Museum Information Systems (AMIS) / Museum Support; Review of requirements and development of updates and enhancements for the Army Museum Information Systems (AMIS) / Museum Support CMH Intranet Development (SharePoint); Review of requirements and development of updates and enhancements for the CMH SharePoint Site. Maintaining of all software to meet accreditation requirements of the RMF IAW DoDI 8510.01. Automation of the processes of maintaining Army records pertaining to force structure and lineage based on an initial assessment Qualifications What is required: Possess and maintain an active Project Management Professional (PMP) commercial certification. Possess one of the following: Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and five years' experience in IT Project Management, OR Ten or more years of experience leading and overseeing IT projects or deliverable lifecycles Have the ability to plan, estimate, propose, execute, staff, budget, and close out IT projects. Be able to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Have strong communications skills in oral presentations and written documents. Have problem solving skills in personal management, project management, and providing deliverables. Good organizational skills. Possess the ability to work project team member or a project lead as required Have proficiency in IT project planning and monitoring progress of IT projects. Have proven ability to meet IT project deadlines and work effectively within time Have the experience with a variety of writing types: proposals, PowerPoint presentations, manuals, job performance aids, photos, posters, project status report, etc. Have the experience with graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, SnagIt and similar programs. Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Have the ability to design templates and customize styles. Be familiar with Desktop Publishing and DoD publications, XML, HTML and ArborText. Have expert knowledge of IT Systems and understanding of Networking and Computer Information Systems. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple diverse IT projects across multiple IT disciplines as well as IT plans and policy experience. Ability to manage and track IT projects across multiple directorates and organizations is required. Demonstrate knowledge and experience with IT concepts and Army IT procurement process sufficient to interpret IT-related Enterprise Service Agreements (ESAs), Joint/Enterprise. License Agreements (J/ELAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), etc. in support of the CMH mission IAW applicable regulations and terms and conditions of agreements. Prepare, execute and monitor the project within the budget policies and procedures. Be physically located onsite at Fort McNair. SECRET clearance.
