Responsibilities

As an Administrative Services Specialist you will serve as the project manager over contracts for assigned programs, services, activities, and/or special events, to include, but not limited to, the following: On-and Off-Site Conference Room Scheduling; Parking Management Services; Transportation Services; Temporary Administrative/Secretarial Support Services; Transit Subsidy Benefits Program; Fleet Management Services; Supply Store and On-line Delivery Services; General Administrative Services; Special Events and Projects; Executive Support Services; Food Sanitation Services, i.e., on-site cafeteria's and convenient stores; Mail Services; and Printing and Reproduction Services.

You will manage one or more contracts for programs, services, activities, or special events administered by the DCASB for employees at the White Flint North (WFN) complex. You will monitor services provided under the contract to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and cost-effective manner and meets the agency's high quality standards for customer service and delivery and complies with the provisions of the contract and/or subsequent contract modifications. You will plan, organize, and utilize available resources to accomplish objectives of programs, services, activities and events and meets customer service requirements.

Additional duties include preparing long-range and advance procurement plans and budget projections, developing statements of work and independent government cost estimates, evaluating proposals, providing technical direction, and evaluating contractor performance.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, in addition to the basic requirements you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GG-12) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience is defined as knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and methods of providing administrative services including issue of safety equipment, conference room scheduling, special event management, transit subsidy management, vehicle fleet management, parking, concession management and mail room, and printing services.
