The Vice President Government Programs is responsible for driving Agfa's commitment to the Government Market by providing continuity between strategic and tactical contracts programs and project execution to deliver a corporate vision necessary for sustainable growth in the government market. As part of Regional Senior Management, the Vice President, Government Programs will define and execute the government growth and retention strategy for our largest IT customer segment, the Government. This position will also provide effective short- and long-term business planning for our government business to include establishing plans and corporate doctrine with the objective of maximizing revenue and profit growth in the government segment of Agfa HealthCare's IT business. This position manages a dedicated sales team responsible for order intake on government contracts Main Responsibilities: Set business and technical strategies for continued growth in the Government market and define plans to maximize sustainable revenue and profit growth rates. Work with cross-functional team to maintain required security programs and achieve the required certification and accreditation for our solutions relating to Government. Drive Government pricing strategies for products and services. Work with Sales Team and Client Services to implement creative winning pricing strategies while improving profitability of services delivered. Define metrics and strategies to achieve desired results. Continuously assess technical product needs for Government programs and participate in product steering to ensure product strategies continue to consider the needs of our Government customer base. Identify other target contracts to enable us to reach a broader spectrum of the Government segment and select the contract vehicle most appropriate to a particular situation. In concert with Business Development, develop partnerships with strategic vendors for Government programs working with existing Agfa partners to facilitate extending our partnerships into the Government arena, as well as new partners specific to Government objectives. Address program level technical and contractual issues. Apply a mix of technical expertise and Government contract management knowledge to respond appropriately to issues presented by Government customers, logistical organizations, and contract officers. In particular, this applies to interpretation of contract requirements as implemented by Agfa and results of Government testing for turnkey system acceptance Education: Minimum: Bachelor's in healthcare , science, marketing, business, or computer science/engineering or other related area. Experience: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and technology sales preferably in enterprise IT and/or digital diagnostic systems along with an extensive understanding of the Government sector and a successful track record of selling multi-million-dollar enterprise systems. Minimum of 10 years Government sales/sales management experience Minimum of 10 years' experience in healthcare IT/medical imaging market Strong relationships with key influencers across the DoD and VA Proven success building high performing sales teams. Extensive Military experience in one of the armed services is preferred. Additional Responsibilities: Provide direct management of the sales team responsible for selling in the Government market. Develop and drive business planning activities for Agfa solutions in the Government sector. Support continuous improvement process by facilitating technology and knowledge transfer between the commercial and Government sectors. Identify and pursue additional Government contracts and procurement vehicles to increase revenue throughout and market share in the Government sector. Establish metrics and tools for improving our sales and delivery processes in support of Government programs. Identify means and strategies for expanding service offerings and improving profitability. Strengthen existing relationships and build new ones with key influencers within the Government sector.
