Description Systems Engineer - Senior (IEWSD-21-0748-F): Bowhead seeks a Systems Engineer, Senior to support the IEWS-D contract at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, MD. The Information Electronic Warfare Software Directorate contract is tasked with developing a way to deliver software updates to military equipment via a web application. Essential functions: Interact with system users to translate their requirments into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design. Particate in the development of test strategies. Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Solving engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned. Apply operating system updates, patches and configuration changes. Manage system hardware component installation. Administer configuration for new hardware and software. Requirements Bachelor s Degree in Electronics Engineering or any other Scientific or Technical discipline is required. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within the last 8 years. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
