Overview: Amyx is seeking to hire a remote Systems Engineerto support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Responsibilities: Daily Tasks:Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure.Provides technical support, guidance, and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation, and ongoing operation of databases.Installs, implements, administers, supports, and maintains applications.Monitors designated applications and takes corrective action to prevent or minimize system down time.Troubleshoots to resolve system related problems; coordinates with relevant system administrators, others regarding user support and problem resolution. Responsible for engineering analysis at the system level.Works with system security engineer on integrating security into overall engineering efforts.Prepares complex technical specifications.Assists system analysts/programmers with application or technical problems.Views and analyzes system logs to troubleshoot performance issues.Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies. Qualifications: Required Skills:Ten years of experience in the computer engineering field.Six years of experience with complex information systems such as System Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems / Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation and Logistics support of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR). Six years of demonstrated advanced technical knowledge in all areas of applications programming, system design and update, storage and retrieval methods.IAT Level I certification (ei A+CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP)Experience with Electronically Stored Information and/or ediscovery systems.Experience with Agile methodology.Desired Skills:Department of Defense and/or Defense Logistics Agency experience desired.Ability to work effectively independently.Experience with system architecture.Microsoft Azure experience a plus.Amyx is an Equal Opportunity employer.
