Overview: Gates Hudson is looking for a Portfolio Accountant to oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for a portfolio of multi-family, commercial and mixed-use properties. The ideal candidate must have experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end close, GL, financial statements, account reconciliation, accruals and strong Excel skills. Accounting or related degree required or equivalent experience required. Responsibilities: This highly visible position reports directly to the Controller and will work directly with property managers, outside CPA firms, operations team, lenders & clients to handle all accounting and financial matters of their assigned portfolio. This position will reconcile bank accounts, prepare draw requests, calculate owner distributions, calculate accruals, prepare owner and lender reporting packages, and assist with regulatory filings and special projects as assigned.
