Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and support for each one of our clients.Distinctive Healthcare is currently seeking to hire full time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to work at the military hospital at the Community Hospital at Fort Belvoir in Fort Belvoir, VA Responsibilities: The CRNA will provide routine and emergent anesthesia such as spinals, epidurals, interscalene blocks, femoral nerve blocks.Job Duties:Prepare and review case histories and obtain data through interviews of patients.Provide routine and emergent anesthesia care for neonatal through geriatric patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classifications I - VI.Provide regional and/or general anesthesia care for the following subspecialties: general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, cardiothoracic, vascular, adult dentistry, pediatric dentistry, otolaryngology, neurosurgery, urology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, podiatry, and dermatology.Administer appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic nerve blocks in the treatment of acute and chronic pain.Provide resuscitative care during a cardiopulmonary arrest, and sedation or general anesthetic care at remote locations.Personally provide this care or he/she shall supervise the simultaneous delivery of anesthesia care by the student registered nurse anesthetist.Oversee the activities of the recovery room and administer appropriate drug and respiratory therapy in the recovery room setting.Implement the proper use of mechanical ventilators in the recovery room, and as necessary, in the intensive careunits.Interpret tests results and evaluate findings. Qualifications: Must have a Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia (AANA accredited school). Must have a Bachelor Degree in Nursing (NLN accredited school).Minimum of two (2) years experience within preceding five (5) years in the specialty and must have experience working independently and capable of performing regional anesthesia such as spinals, epidurals (epidural analgesia - labor epidurals), interscalene blocks, femoral nerve blocks, axillary blocks, and other extremity nerve blocks independent of supervision.- Have experience in obstetrical anesthesia (general endotracheal, subarachnoid block and epidural).- Must be competent with performing subarachnoid or epidural anesthesia.- Must be able to work independently as well as within the anesthesia care team model (ACT).Must be board certified CRNA and possess current RN license.Must be BLS and ACLS certified through the American Heart Association EEOC Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
