The End Point Engineer - Mid will be joining a contract supporting the Department of Transportation in Washington, DC.

  • Responsible for designing the Windows images, maintain the Windows image and the imaging infrastructure.
  • Responsible for overseeing patching, image builds and support, and image documentation, and managing the imaging team.
  • Perform necessary upgrades and maintenance following industry best practices where applicable.
  • Create documentation about specific systems and store in a centralized repository.
  • Prepare, maintain, and uphold procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring end-user device operations.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future end-user device needs.
  • Assist other IT teams through cross-training or administrative tools.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience and/or
  • Master's degree and 3+ years of experience and/or
  • PhD degree and 0+ years of related experience
  • Experience includes:
  • Designing and managing Windows images and imaging infrastructure.
  • Must have strong experience with application packaging, patching of Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policies, WMI, Dell Hardware, and anti-virus technologies.
  • Background check required

  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working in a home office setting.
  • Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
