Job Description

Arc XP ( www.arcxp.com ) is a cloud-based digital experience platform that helps enterprise companies, retail brands and media and entertainment organizations create and distribute content, drive digital commerce, and deliver powerful multichannel experiences. A division of The Washington Post, Arc XP has powered the digital transformation of customers across the globe, currently serving more than 1,500 sites in 25 countries that reach more than 1.5 billion unique visitors monthly.

Built 100% on AWS, the Arc platform follows a microservice architecture. All of our software teams use dev ops to deliver and maintain products. Our processes are lightweight, which allows our teams to innovate quickly to bring new ideas to market. New features and products are deployed to our customer base every day.

Arc XP is hiring for a Product Management Lead for our PageBuilder Themes team. You will set the direction and vision for the Themes core platform as well as the vertical-specific teams implementing on top of it. Working closely with Engineering, Design and Scrum, your team will guide both the product strategy and execution that will evolve PageBuilder Themes over time. Your duties will also include driving the execution of the core Themes platform. You'll represent the Themes team to our highest-profile clients and their leadership teams, and ensure that Arc is delivering its promised value to our top customers. You will provide day-to-day leadership to team members working on customer vertical-specific components, both ensuring they have the right direction to evolve our offering for various customer types, and helping them to succeed and grow in their careers.

You are a seasoned product professional, with experience bringing new products to market and evolving existing offerings. You're know how to use client feedback to drive platform and feature improvement, while also looking to the overall business goals of Arc to drive a long-term, strategic roadmap for our overall PageBuilder Themes ecosystem. You will be responsible for researching, identifying and prioritizing potential customer needs and defining a strategic roadmap as well as individual product features that can address those needs in both the short and long term. Ultimately, you will also work directly with the engineering team to implement the core Themes roadmap. You can operate independently, owning complex business problems from start to resolution, and know how to work across teams and influence peers and senior coworkers to achieve your team's objectives.

The Product Management Lead will work closely with other parts of the product and design organization to develop a coherent, well-integrated suite with unique value in the market. And you have access to some of the best Sales and Account Executives in the business, who will connect you directly with customers to ensure their input is driving the product forward. Being a part of the Product and Engineering leadership, you will drive development of the world's leading enterprise digital publishing suite. Arc is a large software offering used in many ways by different types of customers; you need to be comfortable collaborating across a variety of technical and non-technical teams, and you need to be able to communicate effectively with both. You also should be comfortable communicating with customers, including senior stakeholders on customer teams.

Critical Functions
  • Develop, execute, and maintain a transparent, strategic roadmap for your product suite.
  • Influence and compellingly communicate the vision to a wide variety of key stakeholders while building strong partnerships across disciplines, such as Design, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Sales and Marketing.
  • Lead prioritization on an ongoing basis by clearly articulating user problems, delivery timelines, trade-offs, objectives, and key results for various initiatives.
  • Assist with all aspects of the product lifecycle, including strategy, product requirements definition, design, competitive research, marketing, forecasting, launch plans, testing, and future enhancements.
  • Establish self as subject-matter expert on your product, best practices, competition, and the latest industry trends.
  • Regularly track product performance and success metrics, and report them to stakeholders.
  • Manage a small team of ICs at different stages of development. This requires setting clear goals, ensuring deadlines are met and setting up team members for overall success.
  • Support high-level product strategy, ensuring we're asking the right questions and solving for distinct needs.
  • Work closely with Design and Engineering to deliver stunning and effective work, quickly, properly scoped and at a high level of quality.
  • Own product roadmaps for the PageBuilder Themes products.
  • Work with engineers and QA to deliver polished final product.

Qualifications
  • Managed an entire product lifecycle from concept to release.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in product management or related fields
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Product experience at a SaaS product company, ideally enterprise/B2B
  • Excel at both written and spoken communication.
  • Experience analyzing customer feedback, user research, and performance data to guide product feature development
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally among sales, marketing, technical, and executive teams, explaining complex concepts using appropriate terminology for stakeholders
  • Experience with SaaS CMS or enterprise SaaS software. eCommerce background strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of digital product best practices and agile methodology.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, agile environment, while also leading process improvement efforts.
  • Power to influence others and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity.
  • You can find a meaningful balance between optimizing for speed, quality, and doing risky, but interesting work.
