Job Description

Summary:

This role will involve working with stakeholders and leaders across Giant Food to create and execute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives across the company. This position will be primarily responsible for designing and developing diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives that are well managed, implemented effectively, measured and reviewed for effectiveness and impact. This role will also ensure the profile of all these programs are clearly articulated across Giant Food and reinforce our internal and external commitments.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Supports the development of and implements policies and programs under supervision that are aligned with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy
  • Completes research of diversity industry best practices, recommendations, and statistics
  • Monitors programs that assess degree of participation, policy adherence, and goals achieved
  • Cultivate collaborative internal relationships within business units and other D,E&I partners across Ahold Delhaize.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Collaborate with HR leadership to define success measures for D,E&I programs.
    • Analyzes statistics regarding employment data, including but not limited to applicant flow, hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and training, according to department and company goals and objectives
    • Coordinates, develops, and tracks diversity metrics established in support of the Diversity and Inclusion strategy
    • Supports the analysis of reporting to assist in the development of recommendations for programs and initiatives that support a sustained flow of diverse professional and managerial talent
    • Develops executive-ready reports and dashboard summaries of all diversity metrics
    • Support creation and ongoing development of D,E&I scorecards.
  • Interactions and relationships: The incumbent must work closely with business resource groups, communications teams, supplier diversity, and must maintain effective relationships with external partnerships.
  • Inclusive Communications: partner with Corporate Communications to ensure that initiatives are communicated inclusively through a range of channels to inspire, influence and engage associates, future candidates and external organizations, including customers, suppliers and partners.
  • Business Resource Groups: Partner with our business resource groups to continue to evolve a sustainable framework for ongoing BRG management, and to help BRGs add maximum value to D,E&I effort and business impact.
    • Develop and operationalize BRG policies, toolkits, guidelines, and templates.
    • Provide effective guidance and coaching to BRG leaders, ensuring alignment and integration of BRG strategic plans, budgets, and programming.
    • Provide program management support for heavy-lift BRG initiatives.
    • Provide framework and guidance for BRG membership records, budget, and expense management
  • External Relationships: Own and drive current partnerships with local and national organizations. Identify and build relationships with external partners and organizations to share knowledge and expertise to help drive continuous improvement as well as review current partnerships.
    • Conducts community outreach and relationship management
    • Represents the company at ethnic and multicultural community events
  • Inspire and Engage: Influence and inspire groups to drive tangible operational change, as well as awareness, education and engagement events. Provides recommendations and input in the development and/or enhancement of new and existing company policies/procedures, and practices
  • Learning & Development: Provides proactive educational programs to support the company\u0027s commitment to diversity & inclusion. Able to facilitate and lead D,E&I trainings and conversations.
  • Oversee external D,E&I benchmarking submissions e.g. Human Rights Equality Index.
  • Financial: This role works in conjunction with HR Leader on the PDL diversity & inclusion budget.


Essential Skills

Job Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in Human Resources in a role creating, developing and implementing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives
  • Bachelor\u0027s Degree with concentration Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or related Business field, Master\u0027s degree strongly preferred
  • Leading and developing Employee/Business Resource Groups
  • Certifications in Diversity & Inclusion strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership skills to establish buy-in from senior leadership and manage cross-functional projects
  • Exceptional presentation skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Organizational development experience strongly preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
