Description: A trusted appliance source for builders and trade professionals since the 1960's, ABW Appliances has stepped up and boldly challenged the retail appliance market in the Baltimore and DC Metro area. Our Retail Sales Division will be the third in a family of distinct sales departments, alongside our well-established Builder Development and Trade Sales divisions. Expanding upon the retail services provided in our established showrooms, ABW's new retail-focused stores and e-commerce website will provide new in-box and clearance appliances direct to the consumer, while maintaining ABW's signature high-end service. If you are a seasoned retail manager, director, or account executive with a passion for direct-to-consumer sales, business development, creative strategy, problem solving, and motivating people, the Regional Retail Sales Manager role may be a good fit for you. This is an executive-level role that demands a proven track record of leadership and sound decision making within the modern retail sales landscape. E-commerce experience is preferred, and appliance product knowledge is a definite plus. Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have high-volume storefront sales experience and possess an exceptional knowledge of sales, marketing, and business concepts. The Regional Retail Sales Manager must be skilled at cultivating a high-performing sales team across a wide geographic area. This includes defining roles and responsibilities within the Retail Sales Division, recruiting well-qualified retail support staff and sales consultants, overseeing store managers at retail locations, tracking and reporting on retail sales performance across all ABW locations, and strategizing together with the executive team to maximize efficiency, client retention, and employee engagement. Responsibilities: Working with the executive team to audit the existing Retail Division and create a data-driven retail development strategy. Defining roles and responsibilities required for Retail Sales' success at ABW and fill those roles with qualified team members. Developing a training program for retail sales specialists. Creating an ABW Appliances Store manual with retail sales specific guidelines, recommendations, policies, and procedures. Developing, implementing, and reporting on goals for ABW Store locations and retail sales specialists. The sales team, marketing team, and the Advisory Board should be updated on a weekly basis. Maintaining keen awareness of the state of retail appliance market and retail sales trends in our area; utilizing this knowledge to develop and execute sales strategies in coordination with the ABW marketing team to drive new business. Ensuring retail store managers understand, comply with, and train their staff on company policies and standards. As needed, training sales consultants and sales managers on customer engagement, suggestive selling, and product knowledge; or coordinating this training with ABW's training team. Monitoring store and employee key performance indicators and collaborating with leadership and employees to implement strategies for improvement, as necessary. Maintaining proficiency in appliance product knowledge, especially as relates to market trends, and/or as informs product purchasing for showroom and store displays. Coordinating with purchasing to manage retail-focused product displays in showrooms and all product displays at each ABW Store location. Coordinating with the marketing team to choose and roll out sales initiatives, promotions, product features, events, and Store signage. Maintain a clear understanding of ABW's financial goals and product initiatives. . Requirements: Be extremely self-motivated, organized, and independent; able to manage time well across multiple locations in DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Model a positive tone and working environment, demonstrating servant leadership in attitude, effort, and ethics. Be skilled at conflict resolution and de-escalation. Possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable using and learning an array of tech tools and software systems. Enjoy working collaboratively on complex projects. Demonstrate competence in basic math and data analysis; including the ability to analyze, interpret, and report on Key Performance Indicators, costs, and growth statistics. Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volume and forecasting and developing sales quotas for each location. Position Details: Job Type: Full-Time Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000.
