Job Description

The Washington Post is hiring a temporary Senior Benefits Specialist for a 2-3 month term. This role will focus primarily on supporting the day-to-day work of the Total Rewards team. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly learn about our various benefits offerings to answer employees' questions. You will also need to have discerning eye and willingness to ask questions in order to complete analytical tasks, such as processing vendor invoices or conduct internal retirement plan audits.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer Post's parental leave by meetings with the employees, processing leaves in the HRIS (Workday), mailing welcome gifts to new parents, and tracking parental leaves
  • Assist with other leaves administration
  • Conduct internal 401(k) and pension audits by reconciling integrations, payroll and vendor data
  • Process vendor payments using an invoice management system
  • Answer general employee questions


Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in health and retirement plan administration
  • Ability to quickly learn benefit plans and processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills
