Job Details

Reporting to the President, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) provides management and oversight to the overall operations of the business portfolio, including ancillary and support services in alignment with the organization's Mission, Vision and Values. The COO oversees and provides direction in the development of high-quality, cost-effective, and integrated clinical programs within the business that meet the needs of patients and hospital partners. Through strong business acumen, strategic vision and planning the COO is responsible for sustainable growth and strong financial results. Utilizing strong interpersonal skills and relationships, the COO works with a broad group of business leaders to assess needs and address both near-term and long-term priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

•Drives successful project implementation through executive leadership capacity and partnership with stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient completion and adherence to budget targets.
•Provide leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization to ensure operating efficiency.
•Partners with the leadership team to facilitate process and operational improvements related to hospital performance and organizational initiatives
•Ensures a high level of patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and physician satisfaction.
•Exemplifies the faith-based philosophy of Adventist HealthCare in organizational interactions. Embraces the AHC mission and vision and contributes to creating a healing environment.
•Performs other functions related to the office of the COO or as may be requested by the President.
•Provides integrated team process leadership for leadership team members in representing areas of responsibility.
•Promotes and fosters an interdisciplinary approach to family-focused patient care and strong relationships with community providers.

Qualification:

•Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration is required
•7+ years management experience
•10 years healthcare experience, hospital experience preferred
•Skill in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating a wide variety of
activities
•Team oriented with the ability to partner across all functions within the
organization
•Knowledge of principles and practices of management and administration,
governmental policy, financial analysis, project management, and personnel
management
