CNC Machine Operator

Seeking CNC Machine Operator for established Marble & Granite Contractor with 17 years of track record in Commercial & Residential markets.

The purpose of the position is to help produce countertops by programming, setting up and operating a CNC machine by maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.

Major Duties:

· Utilizing CAD/CAM software to prepare files for cutting

· Downloading files to machinery

· Setting up adjust and operate all the basic machine tools and many specified or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.

· Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tool, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines

· Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process

· Study engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances

· Calculating dimensions and tolerances and ensuring that machined parts conform to product specifications

· Documents actions by completing production and quality logs

· Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs

· Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills: High school, college education or training in vocational schools. Well versed programmer with CAD/CAM experience

Conversant with CNC operation and proficient in computer knowledge. Related on-the-job experience, Stone industry preferred
