Peraton is seeking a Staff Systems Administrator to join our team of diverse individuals in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. As a Staff Systems Administrator, you will administer user accounts, perform server subsystem configuration, network management, and installation of software, performing backups, configuration management, and general system maintenance. Your responsibilities may include the design, implementation and troubleshooting of large, complex dataflows. perform evaluations of existing dataflows to optimize performance and ensure flows meet compliance standards. You will interface with team management to provide recommendations for future hardware/software needs to meet expanding systems performance requirements; provide technical support in a Linux environment to include installation of software, problem resolution, and network support related to computer hardware and the NIAGARAFILES Application; evaluate software issues affecting dataflows and work with the development team to identify solutions.Basic Qualifications: A cents € cents Bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) years of Systems Administration experience administering user accounts, performing server subsystem configuration, network management, installation of software, performing backups, configuration management, and general system maintenance. Four years' experience may be substituted for a degree. A cents € cents Experience leading teams of administrators and interfacing with user communities and technical customers A cents € cents Must have at least five (5) years' experience with cross platform system administration (Linux, Solaris, Windows) A cents € cents Must have the ability to write VBScript/Perl/Shell scripts A cents € cents Active TS/SCI w/polygraph clearance Preferred Qualifications: A cents € cents Understanding of fundamental networking and distributed computing environment concepts, Microsoft Windows and Linux desktop systems, performance tuning and capacity planning of servers (hardware and software levels) A cents € cents Experience using NIS or Active Directory for cross platform management A cents € cents Experience with server virtualization A cents € cents Experience managing power, space, and cooling issues A cents € cents Experience with NIAGARAFILES (NIFI) application A cents € cents Sustain and maintain hardware health across
