Job ID: 80399 Area of Interest: Professionals Location: Baltimore,MD USHours of Work: Day Shift Job Facility: University of Maryland Medical Center Employment Type: Full Time Shift: DAYWhat You Will Do: General Summary Under limited supervision this position is the overall administrator for two outpatient mental health clinics (OMHC) that serve a caseload of approximately 1500 patients. Directs plans, evaluates and organizes both the clinical program and budget for the clinics. Also oversees the operation of the RAISE clinic, a small investigative program for individuals with first time psychosis. Principal Responsibilities and TasksThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified. Acts as Program Manager for all UMMC Walter P. Carter Clinics Directs, evaluates, plans and organizes two complex decentralized OMHC'S with multidisciplinary staff that delivers comprehensive mental health, dual diagnosis and case management services to adults and children. Assures an effective, high quality, psychiatric outpatient program. Provides a suitable atmosphere for training and research as part of the Department of Psychiatry. Oversees the clinical operations of RAISE including monthly team meetings, budget monitoring and assisting with data for grant deliverables. Expands the size and complexity of the program through careful management. Provides overall leadership, guidance and consultation to multidisciplinary mental health teams (two adult, two child and adolescent and one specialized team whose mission is to provide continuous, coordinated and intensive mental health treatment to a sub-population of the most treatment resistant patients). The teams consist of nurses, social workers, psychiatrists and students/residents associated with the professional schools of the University of Maryland. Responsible for conducting bimonthly clinic coordinator and executive meetings and attending weekly staff meetings at least monthly in each clinic. Meets weekly with Division Director for quality and operations oversight and review. What You Need to Be Successful: Minimum Requirements Master's degree in social work, nursing, clinical psychology, or a related discipline with the corresponding state licensure is required. Seven years of progressively responsible clinical experience in mental health care is necessary. In addition, five years of management experience is required to include large-scale budget management.
