We have an opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator responsible for construction of database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role, design and implementation of databases in accordance to end users information needs and views, performing tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity, monitoring database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required, and determining, enforcing and documenting policies, procedures and standards. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Migrate NTSB on-premises SQL database to Azure SQLManage Database resources used to deliver client services including production, staging, and QA/test environmentsManage & setup of database security, database backup and archiving strategy. Import/Export of Data in massive quantitiesAct as subject-matter-expert on Azure SQL new & improved features QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experienceExtensive experience with various cloud database solution deployment and open source options, as well as traditional database deployment technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, and MongoDB, etc.).Understanding of concepts of "High Availability," such as Always-on, Clustering, Database Mirroring and/or other technologies.Familiarity or knowledge around Cloud services, Data Analytics and how it relates to RDBMS databases.Database Performance and Capacity Planning Please note: this requisition is a pipeline requisition in support of a contract recompete, not fully funded by the customer.
