Manager, Cyber Software Engineer

We are seeking a Manager, Software Engineer who is passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

You will:

  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology project and a team of developers with deep experience in AWS , serverless, distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help build a secure AWS environment for the company
  • Enhance network security posture of the company by implementing solutions which filter incoming customer web traffic, identify vulnerabilities and block the threat actors
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code
  • Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
  • Work with cloud native stack, build on AWS, use technologies like Serverless, Monitoring systems like New Relic etc


You should Have :
  • Hands on experience in designing and developing automation on AWS cloud
  • Experience in CI/CD and DevOps pipelines
  • Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, and Python, Lambdas, Step Functions
  • Have experience working with large scale systems in a matrix environment
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Cybersecurity
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience with building APIs hosted on AWS
  • At least 3 years of AWS experience building automation (StepFunctions, Lambda, EC2, ECS)
  • At least 2 years of AWS networking experience (VPC, Security Group, Network Access Control Lists, Internet Gateways)
  • At least 2 years of experience developing and responding to application alerts and incidents


Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certification
  • 2+ years of Terraform and Docker Container Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in deploying and operating cyber network security solutions
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud network security fundamentals
  • 1+ year of experience with various Web Application Firewall (WAF) products
