Primary responsibility for Solutions Sales coverage of the Greater Washington DC and Baltimore Metropolitan markets in support of the development of business relationships and the pursuit and capture new work in the marketplace. The successful candidate will be a high performing sales professional. The primary focus of this role is the acquisition of BAS and Security work related to new buildings and projects in the region. This position requires a continuing commitment to stay current on business trends related to the Buildings industry and on our latest technology and offerings. The ideal candidate will help the contracting community develop solutions that best fit each design criteria for the projects in the market. A key responsibility is attentiveness to our accounts by anticipating customer concerns and staying engaged during the entire sales and delivery cycle to support the client outcomes as well as our delivery team. This position requires active involvement in the building contracting and development community through professional organizations and networking within the communities throughout the market. The successful candidate will involve themselves in the local communities (business development) to build and develop relationships that will benefit the entire sales team. You will work on a team of market professionals who all assist one another in the triangulation of opportunities and the ultimate capture of the work. While each member of the team engages the market in a specific way, all must be familiar with the market approach. The successful candidate will report directly to the Solutions Sales Manager and or the GM for the local business and will be an active participant in the development and implementation of business strategies across all aspects of the business. Duties include but are not limited to: Pursuing new buildings opportunities Managing existing customer relationships Forecasting and maintaining orders pipeline Preparing proposals Building meaningful business relationships Networking internally and externally
