ASEC IncDescription: ASEC is currently searching for an Electronics Systems Engineer to support the customer located on NAS Pax River. The Systems Engineer provides engineering and technical support to the Navy Program Office. This position will provide support to the FMS Class Desk and shall be responsible for Electronics Systems Engineering activities across the suite of V-22 Electronics Systems including Communications, Navigation, and Electronic Warfare Systems. Responsibilities include collecting, planning, and strategizing electronic systems requirements and capabilities across all V-22 FMS variants related to aircraft design, development, and management. . Requirements: Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a STEM related field.Five (5) or more years of engineering experience directly related to Naval Aviation Systems. Required Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must have an ACTIVE security clearance. Skills and Qualifications:Previous V-22 experience, desired. Demonstrated experience in NAVAIR Systems Engineering Process, desired. Previous FMS experience, desired. Experience working with Mission Computer Systems dealing with TOMS. Knowledge of data link and radar systems. Experience with design and integration of avionics systems, desired. Demonstrated understanding of aircraft systems, avionics, systems integration, and sensor operation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong technical acumen with a background in avionics systems, desired. Proficient with MS Office Suite products. Ability to work independently and with little guidance. Tasks/Responsibilities:Tasks will include all aspects of test engineering to include requirement analysis and allocation, software loading, running script files, troubleshooting, data analysis and writing test plans and reports. Participating in or leading technical meetings related to V-22 FMS Electronics Systems in the areas of System Design/Integration, Engineering change Proposal (ECP) development, A/C Modification, FMS Fleet Support. Participating in FMS Customer introduction and capability planning efforts to include development of roadmaps, SOW, and ECP Insertion strategies. Establishing relationships with V-22 Domestic Integrated Product Teams related to Electronics Systems in order to review and monitor domestic development efforts of relevant electronics for FMS applicability. Supporting FMS aircraft modification efforts. Preparing responses to FMS Customer inquiries or requests for assistance. Reviewing and monitoring development of relevant engineering documentation. Participating or assisting in relevant Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events (Domestic and FMS). Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies to translate Customer requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule cost and exportability constraints. Presenting necessary information to stakeholders within the NAVAIR program office environment. Supporting and guiding lower-level engineering efforts as needed.
