We are seeking teammates that excel in that framework.This position supports development of systematic and comprehensive fleet risk management ie; in-service safety analysis processes, training, procedures and tools across the Enterprise (BCA, BDS and BGS) consistent with Boeing's Safety Management System (SMS), FAA's Continued Operation Safety Process (COSP) and MIL-STD-882. This position will also be responsible to create proactive feedback loop based on the operational data and support development of safety data analytics.The selected candidate will be a core member of a fast paced, productive, close-knit and geographically diverse safety team and work both independently and as part of team.A' Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to resolve cross-functional technical issues are also required.Position Responsibilities:Perform systematic and comprehensive assessment of in-service safety and accident/incident processes and ensure that it is consistent with SMS requirements, COSP and MIL-STD-882 guidanceDevelop in-service safety design practices for use across BCA, BDS and BGS including sustaining and supporting development of in-service safety analysis processesWork across the enterprise to understand stakeholder needs and requirements and integrate the opportunities that align to Enterprise Safety Vision and MissionSupport enhancement of root cause analysis methodsEstablish enduring process that enables a robust feedback loop of insights based on product safety lessons learned into the future product designCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders and support development of safety assurance data analyticsSupport preparation of presentations to Safety Technical Boards and Governance forumsGaining a working knowledge of BCA, BDS and BGS safety processes.Ensuring SMS goals are well understood in product safety Design Practices.Establishing a broad enterprise wide Community of Excellence around Safety EngineeringParticipate and potentially lead Agile scrum teamsThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final US Secret clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Knowledge of FAA -COS Process and aircraft system safety analysis guidelines such as MIL-STD-882EExperience performing a variety of hazard analyses across the full product life cycleExperience with Safety Management System (SMS) in Design and Manufacturing organizationsExperience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Experience in Systems Safety Engineering in the Aerospace and/or the Automotive industryTypical Education/Experience:A' Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
