Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant - 100% RemoteAbout the Company and Opportunity:Our client is a nonprofit global health organization headquartered in Washington, DC. Looking to hire a temporary Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant starting immediately. This assignment is expected to last indefinitely. Hourly rate is $35 - $45 an hour depending on level of experience. This is a potential temp to perm opportunity and starting in 2022 will be a remote hybrid position (office is located in Washington DC). They are interested in talking to candidates who are only interested in the temp role as well as temp to perm.Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant (100% Remote): Bachelors' degree in Accounting or related field, or related experience; Must understand GAAP, NFP donor invoice preparation, revenue recognition, indirect costs, and financial reporting (USAID and government reporting). Must have very strong Excel and communication skills. I will be forever grateful for the experience.'Overview of the Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant role:Lead preparation of financial reporting documents for a portfolio of projects;Understand and consider risks related to donor reporting and the impact on the organization if these risks are not mitigated;Recalculate revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled & billed receivable balances with each financial report, and identify and resolve the cause of any variances;Review unapplied donor cash to ensure proper application and resolve all issues by liaising with the Accounts Receivable Prepare journal entries, with consideration for US GAAP, the organization's donor reporting requirements, and potential financial exchange riskPreferred Qualifications for the Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant: Bachelors' degree in Accounting or related field, or related experience; Must understand GAAP, NFP donor invoice preparation, revenue recognition, indirect costs, and financial reporting (USAID and government reporting).
