Senior Process Manager - McLean - Melville - New York City - Wilmington

As a Process Manager at Capital One, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for creating and enhancing processes that deliver excellence to your customer each time. The Process Manager will play a key role in delivering processes that impact the company's bottom line. In this position you will contribute immediately while strengthening your process management best practices.

This role will support Capital One's Capital Markets Operations areas within Commercial Bank. As a Process Manager, you will champion and interact directly with Operations Teams, Risk, Compliance, and Senior Leadership. This professional must be comfortable working with multiple departments and speaking to the Senior Leadership, while building relationships with internal customers. The Process Manager must have the ability to liaise between Operations, Tech and Business to provide communication to multiple audiences, and will work on multiple work streams and own the process from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and priorities are maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Design efficient and repeatable processes that take into consideration the processor's experience while meeting all required policies and controls
  • Use a variety of techniques and tools to define, manage and improve processes, like Visual Management, Business Process Management, Root Cause Analysis, Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma, to increase productivity, self-service, quality, and scalability
  • Build strong relationships and engage subject matter experts in problem solving and improvement activities
  • Responsible for identification, preparation, execution and aftercare of improvement projects for our Capital Markets business areas
  • Collect, analyze and measure process data for multiple processes, to initiate sustainable business practices and procedures and for reporting to senior leadership and executives; review data for trends and gaps in the process that may require additional review
  • Demonstrate ability to balance data with other factors when making decisions
  • Collaborate with teammates, and other groups on larger initiatives; may participate in cross-functional project teams, including projects driven by other parts of the organization, to provide input, liaise with training, and partner with groups on execution efforts.
  • Coaches change agents and managers to ensure the maximum positive impact of the project work for our stakeholders; prepares materials to communicate priorities, goals, and change to key stakeholders within the line of business
  • Apply leadership skills such as teamwork, strong communication, attention to detail, proactive thinking, problem solving, and influence to drive priorities, change, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain formal process documents (e.g. procedures and diagrams), and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams)


Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years experience in process or project management
  • At least 1 year experience with process improvement or root cause analysis


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 4 years experience in process or project management
  • At least 1 year experience in digital marketing or with user-facing web technologies
  • At least 2 years experience in Agile framework
  • Business Process certification or Project Management certification or at least 1 year of experience with Lean or Six Sigma
  • At least 1 year of experience using Visio or flowcharting tools
