Manager, Product Management- Privacy

At Capital One, we're looking for a few self-driven technologists to work as Product Managers in our Enterprise Services product group. To fit in, you have to be jazzed about delivering amazingly simple experiences that make life easier for our customers.

Role:

As a Product Manager for Privacy, you'll be in the forefront of shaping how we can be the best possible stewards of our customers' data and privacy preferences. We use human-centered design techniques, to ensure we develop privacy into our products from Day 1, and develop and deliver on the privacy strategy. You'll work with a cross-functional team to understand both external and internal user needs, uncover product solutions, deliver against roadmaps, and place next-generation consumer financial products in-market. These products will be in partnership with Capital One's existing businesses in Digital, Card, Bank, Financial Services, & Commercial Banking. In addition to your contributions on the overall product agenda, you'll also play a key role in shaping our culture and our people.



In this role you will:
  • Translate business strategy into infrastructure that complies with marketing and data sharing privacy regulations
  • Define product direction to prioritize & deliver features that enable new privacy controls for Capital One consumers and internal customer teams
  • Develop & nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Rally the teams & work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment



Successful candidates will have the following:
  • Full-stack product management experience
  • Proven track record of getting things done
  • High level of intellectual curiosity & comfort with ambiguity
  • Passion for delivery
  • Ability to stay organized & prioritize with minimal direction
  • Collaborative style & an ability to put team before self
  • Compelling & effective communication skills
  • Experience with agile delivery frameworks


Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in full-stack product management, and APIs, and databases, and cloud technologies
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a product backlog & grooming features with a technology team
  • At least 3 years of experience with agile delivery using JIRA issue tracking software



Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or Information Systems
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • 3+ years of experience translating business strategy & analysis into digital products
  • 2+ years of people management
  • Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certification
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
