Responsibilities

As an Public Health Advisor you will:
  • Serve as the principal advisor and direct and oversee multi-functional program activities involving a broad and complex range of public health programs.
  • Manage multiple projects and programs operating concurrently.
  • Analyze collected data and findings and interpret complex legislative, regulatory and/or policy guidance for use in managing public health programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies and plans for meeting public health program objectives.
  • Establish and forge relationships with domestic organizations to collaborate and facilitate the development and integrating of operating public health program initiatives and activities across a broad area.
  • The Public Health Advisor will either perform management and operations work of technical work.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

GS-13: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience providing management and operational assistance or technical advice in the management and implementation of public health programs.

GS-14: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience management and operational guidance or technical advice while managing public health programs.
