Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Intelligence Specialist in the Regional Analysis Department of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Responsibilities

Serves as the Regional Analysis Department (RAD) Head assigned to the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity's S2 Intelligence Directorate, providing leadership, guidance, and administrative support to MCIA's three all-source, regionally-aligned divisions: Asia-Pacific; Europe-Eurasia; and Middle East & Africa.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • You will manage Department-level administrative and personnel actions in accordance guidance and policies from MCIA S1, Intel Division, DC-I, NIA CIPO, and DON OCHR.
  • You will manage Department-level employee development in accordance guidance and policies from MCIA S1, Intel Division, DC-I, NIA CIPO, and DON OCHR.
  • You will execute 2nd-level supervisory duties for three subordinate divisions within the Department.
  • You will manage Department-level operations aimed at refining and evolving processes and procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our intelligence support.
  • You will provide guidance and clarity to the Department workforce to ensure adequate understanding and focus on emerging Command and customer requirements.
  • You will manage Department-level PPBE processes in accordance with S-8 milestones and guidance.
  • You will lead military capabilities analysis of the Pacing Threat and intelligence preparation of the operating environment in the context of Great Power Competition in order to support the Force Development Enterprise, the Fleet Marine Force, and the Joint Force.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Guiding the conduct and completion of intelligence products and services in support of customer requirements; 2) Managing and improving intelligence support to Service, Joint Force, and Intelligence Community customers by integrating and disseminating timely, accurate, and collaborative products and services; 3) Managing and executing assigned production, programs, and resources through the development of personnel, fiscal, and organizational strategies that are integrated and collaborated across key stakeholders IOT respond to changing requirements; 4) Managing a work force through subordinate supervisors; 5) Maintaining knowledge of developments in military capabilities analysis to ensure prioritization and support of valid intelligence requirements; and, 6) Maintaining liaison with counterparts to ensure coordination, collaboration, and integration of methodologies and approaches.
