We are actively working with a nationally known higher education loan and financial services organization seeking a tracking Payroll Specialist to join their team as a tracking Jr. Payroll Accountant. The Payroll Specialist we seek must be comfortable with high-volume, full-cycle payroll processing in a 4 person team for ~7000k employees nationally. The ideal Payroll Specialist, or Jr. Payroll Accountant, will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of payroll for employees. You will succeed in this role if you have the ability to communicate effectively and deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment, as this position is subject to interaction with both employees, and upper management. This seat will report into the Payroll Manager directly, while closely working with and cross training for the current Payroll Accountant. Submit your application as soon as possible!Daily responsibilities and expectations include:- Full-cycle payroll processing utilizing ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN)- Partner closely with the Payroll Accountant in all finance and technical accounting needs with payroll processing- Go over data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave- Handle voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities- Aid staff with wage deductions, fringe benefits, pay related issues, PTO accruals, and general questions related to payroll- Guide regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger- Review payroll areas, fringe benefit reporting, and pay practices related to FLSA to determine how those practices apply to advise management- Organize quarterly and year-end payroll reports- Fulfill current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting- Ensure timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principlesIf interested, please apply directly or reach out to Leila on LinkedIn and indicate which position you are interested in!Job Requirements:- 2+ years of payroll experience- CPP or FPC preferred - Accomplished in processing liens, various withholdings, and garnishments - Experience in working with HRIS system (ADP or similar size system) and high proficiency with spreadsheets- HRIS Payroll System experience required- Experience with Multistate Payroll- Proven knowledge of in-house payroll- Experience with ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN) desired- Hands-on experience with Microsoft ExcelIf interested, please apply directly or reach out to Leila on LinkedIn and indicate which position you are interested in!Robert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
