Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet on land, at sea and in flight. The Electrical Engineer: Satellite Avionics Hardware and Architecture will work satellite electrical and avionics subsystem & payload non-recurring and recurring/sustaining efforts and activities including engineering, design, and testing. Responsibilities: Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements. Troubleshoot and investigate component anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analysis, and provide resolution. Develop electrical test plans and procedures, identify hardware needs, design of test set-ups. Develop and maintain C&DH design documentation at system and payload equipment level: analysis reports, interface control drawings, test procedures and tooling, and manufacturing drawings. Technical support for production and testing of satellite structure and the associated hardware. Work within the Command & Data Handling (C&DH) subsystem team to support the definition of requirements, development of the architecture, implementation of the design, and verification of the subsystem for a spacecraft. Support the definition and maintenance of the subsystem architecture and interfaces Generate verification and validation plans, and work with Integration and Test team to ensure the subsystem meets requirements. Clearly and thoroughly document the C&DH approach in Systems Engineering Reports, including detailed description of technical designs. Prepare and give presentations to peers, management and customers. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical design and analysis of spacecraft and/or other equivalent applications. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field. Advanced degree preferred. US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers. Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
