This individual will support our client, a growing fencing contractor in Odenton, Maryland. Job Responsibilities The Aluminum Shop Manager position is based in Odenton, MD, and will be responsible for manage the daily operations of a high-volume, everchanging Aluminum Rail and Slide Gate Manufacturing facility that will include, but not be limited to, Quality, Production, Material Purchasing/Receiving, Project/Personnel Scheduling, Logistics, and physical Plant Equipment. Additional responsibilities of the Aluminum Shop Manager include: Complete and comprehensive management of the Aluminum Rail Department, with various disciplines such as production (Welders and Fabricators), raw material purchasing, local logistics, etc. Use of financial data in formulation of strategic and operational objectives to maintain profitability Daily interactive coaching and training of staff in welding and fabrication techniques Managing production through use of KPI's or other means of data collection used for improvement evaluations Interfaces with multiple external departments related to plant production, quality, product installation, and project schedules Ensures all direct and indirect reports adhere to quality and safety rules and regulations as per OSHA/MOSH regulations.
