In this role, you will perform financial modeling on a number of financial products as well as be responsible for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. We will also rely on you for advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. As a team member, you will serve as a key business partner in areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a short-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity, is based in the Gainesville, Virginia, area. We seek a candidate with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated competency in financial analysis.Your responsibilities- Candidate that feels comfortable working with large amounts of information and handling expectations- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans- Authenticate routine Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting- Compose and oversee forecasting reports- Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance- Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization- Analyze annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations and supply information to business partners to inform decision making- Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process- Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support- Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends- Power monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions requiredJob Requirements:- Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system- Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience ideal)- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field- Budget forecasting experience preferred- Pivot Table experience highly desired- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel- Adeptness in VLOOKUP- Proficiency in Financial Forecast- Data Analytics experience- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds- Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity- Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)Accountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
