Position Summary: The Senior Product Marketing Manager will report directly into the Vice President, Partner Marketing and manage the marketing strategy, messaging, and execution for our products that are an integral part of our service to our Connections Academy(CA) partner schools. He or she is responsible for understanding consumer needs and determining the most marketable features of our products and building marketing campaigns focused on these to help differentiate our CA schools and meet our annual enrollment goals. The Manager will coordinate strategy and execution of tactics among functional areas within the Marketing Department and will work closely with the product management and product delivery teams. Primary Responsibilities: Has an in-depth knowledge of our products (learning platform, curriculum) to develop product positioning and communicate the features and benefits to families Drafts the narrative and story of the product (enhancement) to share with multiple stakeholders (internal, external, B2B, B2C, current and prospective families) Understands consumer insights as well as the competitive and industry landscape (including current trending products) to collaborate with product teams on future enhancements Develop a marketing plan to drive meaningful differentiation from competitors and new enrollment growth at our partner schools Reviews ongoing metrics to assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs and implement changes as needed to drive performance Serves as the voice of the customer to the product teams and supports product innovations and enhancements; advocates for the best user experience Coordinates and leads product marketing and messaging efforts across brand marketing, demand generation, and other channels Provides timely and accurate communication to cross functional teams to ensure awareness of, participation, and alignment in marketing initiatives Is obsessed with growth, constantly looking for new opportunities to grow market share Support our enrollment and sales team with product knowledge; develop tools or collateral to assist their goals serving families and customers Collaborate on new school model discussions from a marketing perspective Competitive Market Dynamics Fully understands the online K-12 school market, including, national and local competitors, where we win, where we lose and how our products help us stand out for a portfolio of schools. Understands market share for Connections Academy, both nationally and locally, including how it changes each year versus our key competitors and how our strategy allows us to grow share overall. Ways of Working Partners closely with Product Management, Product Delivery, Enrollment and Customer Experience, Family Marketing, Customer Success Teams and Analytics to ensure we're collaborating and aligned on strategy/execution plans for our platform and curriculum Shares knowledge and plans with the Partner marketing team; Understands partner schools' needs, perspectives, and nuances for the platform and curriculum Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with enrollment, marketing and product management is especially important. Qualifications At least eight (8) to ten (10) years' work experience in marketing; product marketing experience preferred Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field Experience with digital marketing, advertising, content strategy Experience in understanding market research and business analytics; integrate with market and product knowledge Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy and professionalism Team leader, team player and positive attitude in a results-driven environment Data-driven approach and strong analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with all levels of management Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and ability to collaborate across the organization Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $90,000 - $120,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
