Adecco is assisting a client in a search for a qualified Biomedical Technician to help service their clients in the Baltimore, MD area. This is a direct hire job opportunity with excellent benefits and compensation. The client is seeking a candidate with instrumentation knowledge and ability to effectively use electronic and pneumatic measuring devices Knowledge of electronic component characteristics in relation to the configuration in AC/DC circuits Has demonstrated ability to properly operate various test measuring diagnostic equipment, such as a digital multimeter, oscilloscope, DC power supply, electrical safety analyzer, and pressure/vacuum meter/gauge. Demonstrated knowledge of digital electronics concepts Demonstrated knowledge of color code conventions used in component and wiring marking Highly effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to make effective, timely decisions based on sound judgment, data, and experience, considering implications and consequences Ability to recognize electronic components and their symbols as used in schematic diagrams Ability to maintain and repair a wide variety of complex medical equipment and systems. Job Requirements: Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or related field. Certificate in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field. Military Biomedical Technology Course or equivalent technical program. Knowledge of the principles and practices of electronics and biomedical engineering technology as applied to the calibration and repair of biomedical equipment and Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic circuit schematics correctly. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations Ability to read and comprehend complex medical equipment operation and technical service manuals Ability to use a computer to perform data entry of statistical information into the department's computer. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance service, calibration, and repair of medical equipment following departmental standards and manufacturer's operator and technical service manuals * Effectively manages all service emergencies and escalates service emergencies to department leadership promptly * Perform repairs, tests, and calibrates medical equipment according to manufacturer's literature and other established guidelines * Conducts cross-training in techniques of testing, calibrating, operating, and troubleshooting medical equipment. * Performs assigned duties following current policies and procedures, including equipment inspection, minor repairs, and planned maintenance, with minimal supervision * Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of medical equipment. * Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, staff, and the broader health care community. * Ability to troubleshoot medical equipment faults and remedy with * Ability to troubleshoot medical equipment faults and remedy within a given period minimal supervision * Maintains timely, accurate, and thorough documentation required, as outlined in current policies and procedures . * Demonstrates initiative and concern for planning, time utilization, and cost containment * Assists with maintaining accurate data in the department's electronic database management system * Completes assigned work promptly The position requires some travel to support on-site customer service calls. Perform all other assigned job duties as required.
