Sr Network Engineer

Our Senior Network Engineers are required to improve and optimize current network, design and implement new network elements, and maintain operations in a large, high-volume service provider network. They are responsible for planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, associated software, and communication links. They are also required to troubleshoot network performance issues, analyze network traffic, and provide strategic planning solutions. This person will work cross functionally with other departments and define best-practice standards for network operations. Responsibilities Include: Configure and maintain Cisco ASR9000s and related switches and routers.Migrate and maintain hosts into segregated, secured network segments with appropriate security policy.Configure and setup Network monitoring.Strong documentation and creation of process in a form of MOPs, incident reports, change documentation, and network diagrams.Communicate best practices to other networking personnelConfigure and setup Cisco Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, and Security appliances for access to vital business applicationsDesign, setup and configure complex switching environmentsDesign, setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applicationsAssist in the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, LAG groupsMaintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilitiesManaging assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and supportSupervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users.You will need to have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.CCIE route/switch + security, or related advanced certification.Advanced knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, Metro/CarrierE, MPLS, IPSec VPN, Layer 2/3 switching, VLAN, spanning-tree.Expert knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, OSPF, BGP.Capable with Internet-related systems, DNS, HTTP, POP, IMAP, SMTP, NTP, and so on.Capable with network account administration, TACACS, RADIUS.Knowledge designing/deploying firewall systems (ASA), Intrusion detection and prevention management. DDoS mitigation.Network Access Control.Ability to create logical and physical network diagrams and rack elevations.Able to use Wireshark, TCPDump, and SNMP monitoring software.Ability to implement continuous process improvement.Ability to assess and guide procurement of network equipment and related systems.Even Better If You Have: A minimum of 8 years hands-on experience working in a highly available network environment.Proven experience with carrier-class routing and switching equipment.Experience working under a formal framework (ITIL) a plus.Linux experience a plus.
