Senior leadership is comprised of CPAs who are highly professional and tenuredThe company has a high sense of community and values teamworkEmployees participate in community outreach and active volunteer programsThey are invested in giving back and served over 100 different charities last yearThe company is known for investing in their employees and promoting from withinThey offer excellent benefits, including: 401K, team member discounts, company-paid healthcare, career advancement, flexible spending account, and highly competitive base salariesSome of the employee reviews, include things like:'You learn a lot in the first year if you are new to the field because you get the opportunity to do a lot more than you would at a bigger firm''Half day Fridays/Full days off during the summer.'Job RequirementsOverview of the Junior Staff Accountant role:Assist in audit planning and conducting audit fieldwork for both non-profit and for-profit clientsAssist in compilation and review engagementsFinancial Statement preparation and analysisPrepare non-profit income tax returns and business filingsGeneral ledger maintenance for CFO clients including bank and other account reconciliations, preparing journal entries and analyzing account balances and budget variancesPreferred Qualifications for the Junior Staff Accountant:1-3 years in the public accounting fieldMust be actively pursuing CPA licenseBachelor's degree in accounting (at a minimum, plus the 150 credit hour requirement must be met or actively working towards)Self-motivated and strong analytical abilityGAAP financial statement audit planning and fieldwork experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPersonable and ability to work well in a team environmentMaintain professional demeanor and confidence communicating with clients
