Summary: The Quality Engineer will be involved with supplier selection & auditing, material qualification, material inspection and test, performance monitoring and supplier development. Involved in leading process and product non-conformances in line with company procedures. The Sr. Quality Engineer assures the quality of processes and products by performing audits, inspections, tests, defect analysis, trend analysis, programming & troubleshooting inspection equipment, calibration maintenance, and reporting on results of measurement standards. Assures consistent quality of suppliers and production by validating processes; providing documentation from measurement analysis, and helping departments understand the interpretation of collected data. Lead and coordinate customer quality complaint resolution with manufacturing plant. Own the manufacturing plant for root cause investigation. Review CAPA from manufacturing plant to resolve robustness. Work with manufacturing plant to define customer acceptable CAPA Other responsibilities may include: Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure product specifications are met. Review, investigate, resolve and report on quality discrepancies. Develop, maintain, lead, and audit quality management system and protocols including systems automation, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Supervise, investigate, and report on customer complaints. Obtain the integral quality system certifications and licenses (eg ISO, CE) to support market release of new product development. Lead audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings. May have frequent interaction with other functional areas and operating entities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field A min of 2-5 years of relevant experience for Junior-Mid-level and a minimum of 7 years of related experience for Senior level. Industry manufacturing experience with experience in a Quality role Review 8D from manufacturing plant. Customize customer version of 8D (in local language if needed) report. Manufacturing experience required. Understand & filter sensitive and IP related information. Work with manufacturing plant for any follow up requests and data from customer. Ensure closure of complaints. Direct interface to customer to retrieve accurate information. Provide speedy responses to customers based on his/ her knowledge about the manufacturing. Work with manufacturing plants to provide the appropriate responses to customers. If needed, arrange samples to manufacturing plants or SLS for analysis.
