Customer Service Representative - Remote All cities HI Title: Customer Service Representative - RemoteStatus: Remote, W-9 (Independent Contractor)Help people travel from the comfort of your own home:As a Customer Service Representative, you ll be taking calls from customers of America s leading online travel agency. You ll be the face of the brand, communicating with customers via telephone and assisting with hotel, rental car, and flight reservations.These customers typically call to change travel plans, confirm or obtain their itinerary, request refunds, or report travel issues.This remote, flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $11/hour.It s remote and flexible.You ll be taking calls and making money from the comfort of your own home.Plus, you ll enjoy flexible scheduling, where you use a self-scheduling platform to select when you work and when you don t. You ll have the freedom to schedule around your own needs, the needs of your family, and the important events in your life.Hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM ET, seven days per week. You ll have the flexibility to set your schedule within those hours of operation.Essential Functions:Answer incoming callsReview customer history as necessaryFollow policy and procedure guidelinesHelp customers change travel plansProvide or confirm customers travel itineraryProcess refundsHelp customers solve travel issuesPlace outbound calls to travel partners (hotels, rental car agencies, etc.) as necessaryDocument information and outcomes as necessaryAbout You:Prior customer service experience is required. You should possess strong geographical knowledge. Experience working in the travel industry or personal experience using travel products is addition, successful Customer Service Representatives have the following characteristics:Excellent customer service skillsStrong attention to detailEasy to work withAccepts feedback wellExcellent listening and communication skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsDemonstrates empathy effectivelySelf-directedAble to organize, prioritize, anticipate situations, act, and see issues through to completionAble to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentStrong typing skillsHighly proficient in using the internet and navigating seamlessly between multiple applicationsTo be a Customer Service Representative, you will need a computer and equipment meeting the following specifications, at a minimum:Internet: High-speed, hardwired internet (no WiFi or satellite)Operating System: Windows 10Processor: Intel Core i5, 1.5 GHz and aboveMemory: 8GB of RAMHard Drive: 256GBBrowser: Internet Explorer 11 and latest version of Google ChromeMonitor: Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1920 x 1080 pixelsSound: Sound card (standard on most computers)Virus Protection: Up-to-date anti-virus softwareHeadset: USB noise-canceling headsetNexRep contracts with people in 34 states. The only states we do not currently contract in are: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, IL, MA, MD, ME, MO, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, and WA. We do not currently contract with anyone outside of the US.
