The George Mason University Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center, on the Science and Technology campus (formerly the Prince William campus), is seeking part-time Preschool Teachers from September to May. About the Position: Three-year-olds' classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m.-11:45 a.m., and from 12:15 p.m.-3:00 p.m. (work hours 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.). Four-year-olds' classes meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m.-11:45 a.m., and from 12:15 p.m.-3:00 p.m. (work hours 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.).

Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for planning and executing age-appropriate curriculum.

Required Qualifications: * The incumbent must have an Associate or Bachelor's degree in early childhood/elementary education or in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to satisfy the commonwealth of Virginia Program Leader requirements for administration of licensed child care facilities; * Ability to attend 16 hours of yearly training; * Ability to obtain Medication Administration Training; * Must also possess or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications.

A tuberculosis test is required after hire. This position is subject to a criminal background investigation. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of this process.
