Position Overview:

Position will serve as a key member of the Multifamily Asset Management Asset Resolution team with primary responsibilities focusing on monitoring and tracking loans assigned to Asset Resolution as well as loans that are transferred to Special Servicers. The position will participate in calls both externally with servicers and internally with other Asset Management departments and record updates to the status of loans based on data provided by special servicers as well as other team members. The position will evaluate requests from servicers for maturity deferrals or for transfers to the special servicer and will complete a business plan to submit for approval, complying with the requirements of the appropriate servicing or securitization documents as well as the approval matrix.

**This position can be performed currently from a remote location in the U.S. but will require presence in a Freddie Mac office in the future.***

Our Impact:
  • Our team is responsible for evaluating requests and preparing business plans associated with restructures and modifications for defaulted mortgage loans, maturity deferrals, and transfers to other special servicers with a focus on minimizing losses.
  • Maintain a record of incoming requests as well as the current status on loans assigned within Asset Resolution and to other special servicers.
  • Review and process advance requests, monitoring advance to value percentages, and recommending loans to be declared non-recoverable as needed.
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly data to internal committees.
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc reporting.

Your Impact:
  • Minimize losses on defaulted mortgage loans through a restructure/modification of the debt and/or an extension of the maturity date.
  • Maintain an accurate record of loan transfers.
  • Continually update the status of loans within Asset Resolution and those with various special servicers to be able to respond to questions from both internal and external stakeholders.

  • 1+ years of related work experience in the real estate industry
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of real estate property fundamentals
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously
  • Strong expertise in MS Excel with ability to create macros, tables, charts, etc.
  • Experience with MS Power Point and MS Word
