Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Office Based Behavioral Health Therapist for our Needs Assessment department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As the office based clinician, you will:
•Evaluate and assess patients with behavioral health emergencies
•Answer the Needs Assessment phone line, verify insurance, intake appointments, and provide resources to callers
•Facilitate hospital to hospital transfers and obtain pre-authorizations and initial authorizations.

Qualifications Include:
•Current State of Maryland Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW-C) or Professional Counselor (LCPC), PsyD, PhD, or Registered Nurse (RN) or eligible to obtain Maryland State licensure within 90 days from date of hire.
•2 + years of emergency room psychiatric clinician experience or at least 2 years of crisis clinician experience in an outpatient setting.
•Demonstrated competency in performing mental health assessments, providing clinical interventions, and completing accurate documentation
•Working knowledge of DSM-V.
•In depth knowledge of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health.
•Prior EHR experience.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
•Strong written and verbal communication skills and high level of attention to detail in documentation.
