The Jr. Systems Engineer shall support all infrastructure services to optimally perform their designed functions thereby decreasing service downtime and increasing mission success.

  • Provide support in the development, testing, acceptance, deployment, and maintenance of any RF-based technical collection systems.
  • Provide support to prototyping, engineering, design, building, sustaining, improving, and decommissioning SCS technical collection capabilities.
  • Provide pre, deployment, and post deployment support of current and future SCS technical collection capabilities, including but not limited to:
  • Support to system development, validation, and verification testing and acceptance.
  • Support to pre-deployment surveys.
  • Support to logistics, planning, and execution of asset installation.
  • Fabrication and Field Engineering support.
  • Maintenance and decommissioning of forward-deployed assets.
  • Develop software and user interfaces for data exploitation for transfer to multi-level classified systems.
  • Develop custom data processing and network monitoring applications for deployed sensors.
  • Complete daily time recording as required in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Complete annual trainings in accordance to company and contract policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree is required.
  • 1-5 years of related work experience is required.
  • Experience with scripting/programming in Java, Python, Putty, UNIX, or C / C++ is required.
  • Active and up-to-date CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
  • Top secret clearance is required and the ability to obtain an SCI is also required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Cisco CCNA and Cisco Cyber certifications are required within the first 2 years of employment.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong proficiency working with RF communications or radar systems in system development and acquisition programs.
  • Experience in planning and executing construction projects and deployments.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in fixing RF equipment in less than ideal conditions.
  • Experience in software and hardware security accreditation of IT systems and in setting up physical and soft IT networks for data collection from sites.
  • Knowledgeable in CONOPs development for operations and in managing and overseeing contractor development of systems and software is required.
  • Ability to manage the relationships with data providers.
  • Must be willing to spend long durations doing field deployments on land, air, and inside or outside of CONUS locations.
  • Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with time related constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.
  • Ability to travel as required.
