The Lourie Center School for Children's Social & Emotional Wellness is a private, non-profit agency with a mission to improve the social and emotional health of young children and their families through prevention, early intervention, education, research and training. The Lourie Center has four core programs serving children birth through age 12 and their families: Head Start, The Lourie Center School, The Therapeutic Nursery Program and Parent-Child Clinical Services.

The Lourie Center seeks to hire an experienced Social Worker, MSW who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As the Social Worker you will:
•Identify needed services, prepare written evaluations, obtain relevant information from school settings, make home and school visits as appropriate, interpret evaluation results for parents and other professionals working with a client, and develop home programs, treatment plans, and educational plans based on state regulations and forms.
•Under clinical supervision, provide psychotherapeutic treatment to children and their families including individual play therapy, parent collateral work, family therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy.
•Monitor progress of children/families in treatment and formally reviews treatment plan and goals every six months.
•Consult to professionals in the community including pediatricians, school administrators, and child welfare/DHHS
•Participate in scheduled interdisciplinary meetings to formulate a comprehensive diagnosis and a coordinated treatment plan for Lourie Center clients, as well as to review the progress made in treatment and to develop new treatment strategies for children at Lourie Center.
•Perform basic administrative tasks related to work assignments including the timely preparation of written reports, billing forms, work schedules, and progress notes to document treatment sessions
•Maintain medical records in a complete, timely and legible form, including parent information forms, consent forms, data collection forms, progress notes, and treatment plans and goals as required by state DHMH

Qualifications include:
•Master's level from accredited school of Social Work or a related field
•Knowledge of psychological disorders from infancy through adulthood
•Training and supervised experience with a wide variety of treatment modalities
•Supervised experience providing psychotherapeutic services to children under six years of age and their families
•Licensure at the graduate level or an equivalent
•Active BLS CPR card
