Dewberry is currently seeking a Preparedness Program Manager for its Fairfax, VA office.

We have an opportunity for you to grow our business and use your analytical skills to identify trends to enhance planning, training and exercising. This position has three main focus areas:

  1. Manage complex planning, training and exercise programs.
  2. Collaborate across market segments to deliver preparedness (planning, training, exercise, and after-action reporting) services to federal, state/local and commercial clients.
  3. Participate in our Federal Downstream initiative to facilitate State/Local clients with maximize federal grant funding opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex programs and projects and adhere to scope, schedule and budget.
  • Lead integrated project teams composed of individuals with varying subject matter expertise to accomplish our client's missions.
  • Foster the development of Dewberry technical staff through training, coaching, mentoring, etc.
  • Coordinate with other Dewberry business units on opportunities for collaboration.
  • Lead preparedness-focused business development and the growth of a team that you will manage
  • Lead technical capture teams responsible for approach/scope, schedule, and cost estimates.
  • Share project experiences/technology solutions/information to clients, colleagues, and others through the development of blogs, articles, videos, and conference presentations.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a remote, multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work within a team environment.
  • Ability to market related services and to present our services to both internal and external clients - critical to the success of the individual in this position.
  • Experience in managing projects for federal, state, local and commercial clients.
  • Experience with reading, digesting, and writing analytical products
  • Knowledge of federal agency programs, programmatic rules and regulations and experience completing work in/for federal agencies
  • Knowledge of and experience in Emergency Management operations as it relates to the disaster preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation cycle.
  • Currently hold an active secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Travel when necessary to client sites or other Dewberry offices.
  • BS/BA in applicable field.
