St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Web Developer in Institutional Advancement. Duties include maintaining site architecture; assisting and testing updates to the Drupal core and contributed modules; quality assurance testing for new web development projects; regularly monitoring the site for content, branding or navigation errors and issues; developing custom web applications that drive business processes for the college; and helps with research/special projects.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in web design and development, computer programming, management information systems or related discipline preferred. Excellent understanding and hands-on experience with web design and development, preferably in a higher education environment. Excellent understanding of content strategy as applies to the Web. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well in a service-driven, team-oriented environment. Excellent customer service attitude, troubleshooting skills and abilities. Familiarity with graphics and web software packages preferred. Experience with CSS/HTML5/JavaScript/PHP/Twig. One or more years of experience with a Content Management System (CMS), preferably Drupal. Ability to grow and enhance web design and development skills.  Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.  Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
