Job Announcement

Works as part of the the Enterprise Unified Communications Technology Business Area providing technical and programming support to system analysts, and works with various departments on Contact Center solutions, utilizing omni-channel technologies, call recording, Call Management Systems (CMS), Callback Assist (CBA), and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solutions. May run backend call queues and provide auto attendant support when required. Works with system analysts in designing/developing new solutions based on business requirements, enhancement of existing solutions, and testing and implementing the agency's applications systems. Works directly with users to solve system problems. Coordinates with system programmers to install and maintain vendor software. Trains and provides technical support to other users throughout the County. Analyzes, designs, develops computer programs written in mainframe languages and creates documentation. Support telephony requirements and response to customer agencies’ needs 24 x 7. May be required to work extended hours in support of various projects or when is vital for continuity of government. Performs other duties as assigned.

Employment Standards

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Information Systems, Computer Technology, Business, Economics, or related field, plus three years programming/analysis experience in a complex information systems environment.

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

  1. At least three years of hands-on experience with developing call flows and IVR platform programming.
  2. At least three years hands-on experience with programming IBM mainframes.
  3. General knowledge of PBX functionalities and Voice/Telephony components
  4. General knowledge Avaya Experience Portal.
  5. General knowledge of Avaya Call Management System.
  6. General knowledge of Avaya Workforce Optimization.
  7. General knowledge of call recording applications.
  8. General knowledge of converged technology protocols.
  9. General knowledge of Microsoft Teams with Direct Routing.

Work is generally sedentary, preformed in a normal office environment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
