St. Mary’s College of Maryland is accepting résumés for the position of Annual Giving Officer in its Institutional Advancement Development unit. The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for developing and executing a multi-channel annual solicitation program, across College constituencies, that grows the College’s private support for strategic initiatives. The position will manage an annual giving program that focuses on the College’s fundraising priorities and includes cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; implement targeted marketing and communication strategies; and develop annual giving themes and messaging that reflect the College’s brand.

Qualifications:  The successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to develop and implement fundraising initiatives and appeals to meet goals and ensure effective returns. A bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of five years of fundraising experience in an educational institution, nonprofit or comparable setting. Experience in marketing and communications is a plus. The candidate must have strong writing, organizational/planning, and technology skills and a proven ability to interact successfully with a variety of constituents including alumni, faculty and staff, students and families, and friends of the College.  Ability to travel in and out of state is required and must possess a valid driver’s license.  Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.  Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
