Reporting to the Vice President of Chief Medical Office: Develops, plans, implements, directs, and evaluates activities, resources, programs and

services for all areas within the Division of Respiratory Care. Responsible for overall direction and operational success in accordance with national

standards and CNMC policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree - Required

Master's Degree - Preferred

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Registered Respiratory Therapist - (Required)

Licensed Respiratory Care Therapist in Washington, DC or willing to obtain licensure

Minimum Work Experience
10 years



Expertise in the area of specialty.



Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, DOH and other regulatory agency requirements.



Demonstrated leadership and management skills.



Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



Familiar with department budget and interpersonal communication.



Prior knowledge and experience with Respiratory therapies.



Familiar with department budgets, statistics, and data analysis.



Director will oversee the collaboration and participation in multi-center clinical trials, perform independent research projects and apply for extramural grant funding.



Will create active research collaborations in the field of pediatric cardiopulmonary medicine with ECMO program, Divisions of Critical Care, Neonatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Transport Medicine.
