Job Description

The Washington Post News Service is looking for an energetic multiplatform editor to join the team that edits and distributes Post content to news organizations and other clients around the world.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of language and style and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop.

Our desk curates and distributes Post, Bloomberg and Japan News content, along with photos, graphics, videos and podcasts. Editors also prepare news budgets and answer client queries.

The hours for this position are generally Sunday and Monday 3 to 11 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday noon to 8 p.m.

Candidates should have at least five years of copy-editing experience at a mid-to-large-market news organization or wire service. A copy-editing test will be required.

This position is based in our Washington newsroom. Once we resume normal operations, the position will not be eligible for remote work.
