Job Announcement

Manages the hardware and software platform for the Fire and Rescue Department's Electronic Patient Care Reporting System (ePCRS). Provides a stable environment that will promote end user experience, data management, report generation, statistical analysis, billing, and data transfer. Assists with developing proposals, contracts, and maintenance agreements essential to the services and technical support of the ePCR platform. Provides hardware/software support to agency end users of various platforms (computer work stations, laptops, tablets, servers, etc) at all agency sites. Performs hardware/software installations, maintenance, and inventory control for agency technical equipment, Servers as IT security coordinator for FRD applications, configures security permissions, and performs Active Directory administration. Provides technical support for the agency's fleet of mobile command units for a variety of in-vehicle devices including laptops, tablets, and smart phones. Serves as technical liaison to DIT and various outside vendors. Provides assistance to other IT team members and end users as needed. Participates in developing COOP and DR for agency systems and evaluating new technologies supporting agency tactical technology, IoT for public safety, and agency strategic planning.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus three years of network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields; plus one year of experience in network or telecommunications system design, analysis, installation, and troubleshooting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, MDM, Support Ticketing System.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid Driver's License.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, credit check, driver's license check, sanctions screening and public safety background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to input, access, and retrieve information from a computer. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
