Job Details

The American Enterprise Institute seeks a full-time research assistant to support AEI's Education Policy Studies department, which works to promote policy solutions to K-12 and higher education problems.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide research and administrative assistance to the education policy team, and to help manage the daily operations of the program. This includes duties such original and primary-source research, drafting reports and op-eds, and editing pieces. The job also includes administrative assistance such as scheduling, record keeping, financial tracking, and copy editing. Research assistants may also help coordinate the program's popular event series, as well as high-level private meetings.

The ideal candidate works well in a team and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills. The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure is also required, as well as a demonstrated interest in education policy.
